    Norwegian Cruise Lines

I can’t say enough for the NCL solo program. I have used it so many times now and am proud to say I have Diamond status, which means I get a few free perks, like free laundry, priority boarding, and a free bottle of wine with dinner once per seven day cruise!

I love their itineraries, and that occasionally I get to leave from my home town, Vancouver BC. the port is a short 15 min uber ride from my condo, so let’s get packing! The cruises here leave for Alaska all summer, re-positioning to LA in the fall, and also sometimes go to Hawaii, often via Alaska. Also, there is a September crossing to Japan which I am determined to do one day.

Other than that, I like to leave from LA and New York, both with direct and reasonable flights from Vancouver. Not so much, leaving from Miami but do have family to visit there if I can stretch my vacation.

The solo programs on NCL are excellent. Every day, there is a solo meeting usually around 5 pm with a designated staff member (solo coordinator), rotated between members of the cruise director’s team so always different, a half hour meet to meet and greet other solos, plan events, or sign up for the nightly solo dinner in the main dining room (complimentary).

I have met so many wonderful solos from all over the world and keep in touch with them on Facebook.
